Thank goodness!!!!!!!<\/strong> It’s finally here. Football is back and I can now communicate with Guy #2 without talking about some random Crypto I’ve never heard of. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I did a bit<\/em> of reflecting on last year. It doesn’t take a math minor to calculate my dedication to the Shed song grind. It was very poor. 40% to be exact. I WILL BE BETTER. <\/strong>Speaking of better I’d also like to do better between the lines. Overall I went 51.5% for -7.2u on the season. Could’ve been worse. Let’s get things started on a high note:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FDC: Utah -6.5 – Knock Knock by Mac Miller<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Utah’s going to be knocking on Florida’s door all night long. I don’t think it will matter if Florida lets them in or not. Utah will be entering. Also… bear with me here. Let’s go real deep for the first song of the year. Mac Miller is giving off MAJOR pig bus vibes here #IYKYK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SMU -20.5 – Pony by Genuwin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

U Mass v. Auburn U52 – Slow and Steady by Of Monsters and Men<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solid song for a solid bet. I’m expecting both teams to move “slow and steady.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FDC: Buffalo +27.5 Jimmy Cooks by Drake feat. 21 Savage<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the only song I will allow myself to repeat. It just fits. Buffalo is the definition of day ones. Saturday will be a party. Trust me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Army v. Louisiana Monroe U46.5 – Louisiana Saturday Night by Mel McDaniel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I expect both of these teams to dance around the 50 yard line til the morning light. Or at least for a few hours on a Saturday night in the state of Louisiana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington St. -11.5 – Pumped Up Kicks by Foster The People<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Happy sounding song about something very sad. This team will play well but has a sad future. Hope there’s a happy ending unlike the song. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FDC: Baylor -27.5 – The Man by Aloe Blacc<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dave’s got all the answers to your questions. He’s the man.<\/em> Is Shapen going to improve this year? Yes. Will your o-line recover from losing 4+ starters? Yes. Will the secondary be a dumpster fire again? Maybe. Will Baylor be good this year? YES!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

FDC: South Carolina +2.5 – Rich Men North of Richmond by Oliver Anthony Music <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So a bit of a stretch here but the principal holds up. Let’s just change the tune to “rich men north of Raleigh.” Still works. Tough guys beat the powder blues. Kinda a soft color if you ask me…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FDC: Florida St. +2.5 – I Got a Dollar by Luh Tyler<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Okay, okay. I have no clue who this Luh Tyler guy is. But, the young man is right about one thing. “Ion gotta sweat know the money on the way. Ion gotta sweat know that money comin’ in.” Sound logic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clemson -13 – Eye of the Tiger by Survivor<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y’all need to keep an eye<\/strong> on this team. It’s this team out of Clemson, South Carolina in the Atlantic Coast Conference. They’re my under the radar team. I expect big things this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I should disclose, there’s a non-zero chance I lose a pick or two. In that case I will play the following songs based on the unit size. Since I haven’t placed a pick larger than 1u, I’ll pick the others at a later date. Too much negativity to think about that on week one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
