Welcome back to another year of the Front Door Cup! We have missed the ShedHeads since the end of last year but are excited to bring back the fan favorite competition.
You may notice that there are A LOT more people on the blog than the last few years and that is because we have been hot on the advertisement trail. Most notably, we have been featured on the world-renowned Folks at Home Podcast.
This is Season 3 of the FDC and all the guys are looking to make a historic run to the champion’s throne. It has been a while since we last wrote for you guys so here is a recap of last season’s competition.
Let’s start with the bad: G3 had a bad year, going 29-40-1 (42%) and coming in last place by a large margin. G3 isn’t an excuses type of guy, but personally, I think there were some extenuating circumstances because we all know he is a much better gambler than that. People have slumps and I think we can all agree to chalk last season up to that. Bad year but a positive outlook for G3 as he tries to capture his first FDC Crown.
Last year’s second-place finisher was G2 at 39-31 (56%). G2 had a strong season but lost the crown going 1-4 the final week of the season. As you probably remember, G2 was the FDC champion in 2021 and he will be looking to get his second title this year.
And lastly, your 2022 Front Door Cup Champion G1. He had a great season and caught fire in Week 10 going 20-5 over the last five weeks of the season. G1 finished the season 42-28 (60%) and won his first FDC title. G1 has been moving and shaking all offseason to try and keep his edge. We will see if he can repeat his 60% clip in 2023.
Now that you’re caught up on last year’s happenings, let’s look at the 2023 FDC. Since the ShedHeads love our regular format so much, we are keeping it the same. Each week there will be three required picks and two free spots for the Guys to add their favorite plays. Each Guy will turn in five plays each week. As usual, these high-quality, guaranteed-winner, go-ahead-and-spend-it picks are coming to you free of charge each week on the site.
